Tommy Matthews, 47, of Franklin died on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the Hospice facility in Bowling Green.

He was born in Franklin on May 13, 1962, a son of Bobby Matthews of Russellville and Jean Downey of Franklin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Franklin. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. until time of the service at the Church of Christ in Franklin. Burial will follow in the Townsend Grove Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Matthews is survived by his sisters, Romona Matthews of Indianapolis, Ind., and Barbara Flippin of Franklin, and his brothers, Sammy Bailey, James Matthews and John Matthews all of Franklin and Randy Bailey of Portland.
