Hello! Hope you have had a good week. Some days pretty, others rainy. Got your garden planted or tobacco set?
Our sympathy to Nadine and the family in the death of Morris Costellow. Morris and I both attended Stuart’s Chapel School.
Hopefully Marilyn Elliott is home by now. She has been in the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
Visiting with Lannie and Judy Jernigan Wednesday were some of Lannie’s family from Greenville and there were 14 for lunch. They had a good visit.
On Wednesday the “crew” from the paper, as well as corespondents, met at the Ranger Grill, had our lunch, and a good time visiting. There was OJ Stapleton, Chris Cooper from the office and a former employee, Dee Dee Brown. Corespondents were Dick Dickerson of Adairville, special writer and former writer of Bucksville, Margaret Walton of Owensboro, and you don’t think I’d let them get together without me do you? We really had a good time.
We really have an active Miss in our community and that is Mallory Whitson. One night this week at the fair, she won Grand Championship Steer with the Logan County FFA, which was at the Ag Center I think. Then the next night, which was Thursday, she did the same thing with the OAB breed with a female. Proud of you Miss Mallory. Keep it up.
Steve and Vicki Gregory and her dad Jewell Wayne Johnson spent the weekend with their son, Lance and family in Mayfield. I know they had a good time.
In here this week have been Marvine Borders, Vicki Gregory and Judy Jernigan.
Sorry neighbor Martha Williams is having some medical problems. I hear she is feeling better.
According to the calendar summer begins June 22nd.
Until next time, see ya!
