Our sympathy to Bryan White and the family in the death of his mom Mrs. Magdelene White. Her services were this past week. I also got to see Pat Thomas, Kenneth Lyons while there. Magdalene’s mom, Essie Lyons and the way I think it is, her dad was a Fleming and was a brother to Bob’s granddad. Am I right?
Our sympathy tot he family of Naomi Harper. Helen Porter said she was her last aunt. None of my mom’s family or my dad’s are left either, so no aunts or uncles.
Enjoying lunch Sunday with Martine Brown were her brothers, Bro. Kinnith Morris of Hopkinsville and Bob and Kay Morris of Fulton, Missouri.
Visiting awhile Thursday afternoon with Virginia Hart was son Ronny Hart of Greenville and grandson Kelsey and one of Kelsey’s friends.
Visiting with Joyce Hardison has been Sarah Brooks Lyons of Henryville, Indiana. Visiting also locally were her sis Jolene Adler and Betty Stuart. They have had a good time visiting.
Another reminder of the Purple Martin festival on June 3rd at 6 p.m. at City Hall complex will be the Little Mr. and Miss contest. You can pick up the forms at City Hall, Lewisburg Banking Company, Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the school house.. So make plans to enter your children.
Visiting awhile Saturday with Glenn and Helen Porter were friends Elvera McCoy and son Wade and a friend of Wade’s, Shawn of Louisville. They used to live closer and have been friends for a long time. Virginia Hart celebrated a special birthday Sunday, however, her day was celebrated Saturday with son Jerry and Claudia Hart and 31 helped her enjoy the day. Then Sunday afternoon visiting her were Mary Russell and Rickey Rigsby of Springfield.
At church yesterday morning, our military guys were asked to stand. I saw 5, Mr. Anderson, Rufus Coursey, C.W. Harris, Bill Cornelious and Mitch Cundiff. Thanks for helping protect our great nation. I’m sure we don’t tell you often enough how we do thank you.
Visiting some of their friends Saturday were Tommy Daniel and her daughters, Becca and Ruth of Owensboro. I don’t know how many they saw, but Virginia Hart said they stopped and saw her.
In this week have been Martine Borders and Judy Jernigan. Always glad to have you stop in and visit awhile.
