William Henry “Bill” Ballance, 63, of Cleburne, Texas, formerly of Logan County died Thursday, April 2, 2009.

He was born in Logan County, June 27, 1945, a son of Sarah Frances Anglea Ballance of Russellville and the late Henry W. Ballance Jr.

Mr. Ballance was a graduate of Russellville High School, graduated from Georgia Tech as an Industrial Engineer and attended the University of Kentucky Law School. He was in the United States Army Reserves, was an environmental engineer and an architect with the Beacon Energy Corporation and was a Baptist.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Buddy Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 7, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John C. Ballance, Michael T. Henning, Troy E. Henning, John T. Henning, Darin George, Sammy Christmas and Steven H. Ballance.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Ballance is survived by his brother, Robert W. Ballance and wife Marlene of Russellville, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

This was my father, he raised and adopted my sister and I. I would like to know why we were not in the obit and why no one notifed us of his death?

He is survived by two Daughters Christy Ballance Paradee Greensboro NC, Tammy Ballance Wathen Owensboro KY, 8 grandchildren and 6 great granchildren.
