J. Martin Humphrey, 48, of Renee Street, Russellville, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He was a Logan County native born July 30, 1964, to Jim Humphrey and Alice Raymer Humphrey. He was a construction engineer with the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Living Word Church where he was a drummer for the church praise band. He was a statistician for the Russellville High School basketball team and an avid UK and Russellville Panther supporter.

Funeral services for J. Martin Humphrey will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Cowan and Bro. Ken Cowan officiating, with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the funeral home and on Friday from noon until the time of the service.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Osborne, Tony Winn, Greg Owens, Lester Barbee, Mark Reynolds and Brad Hall.

He was survived by his maternal grandmother, Olean Raymer of Bowling Green; parents, Jim and Alice Raymer Humphrey of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; wife, Diane Humphrey; daughter, Brooklynn Humphrey of Bowling Green and special friend, Rob Edwards; brother, Eric Todd Humphrey (Traci) of White House, Tenn., numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
