George Ricky Smith, 59, of Adairville, died Monday March 18, 2013, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Russellville.

Ricky was born September 6, 1953 in Logan County to the late Joe C. and Virginia Palmer Smith. He had worked for Owens Brockway in Chicago, and he was a member of the Plastic & Glass Blower’s Union. Ricky was a member of Adairville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Joe Dean and Bill Smith.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday March 21st at 2 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville with Pastor Bill Cowan and Pastor Brent Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Ricky is survived by his nephews, Joey, Jeff, and Jarred Smith, two great nephews, and several cousins
