Jennie Lee Sargent, 91, of Elkton, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Guthrie on May 21, 1921, a daughter of the late James Henry and Myrtle Bell Atkins Shanklin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sargent was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Sargent, Sr.; four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Sargent was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elkton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Elkton with Reverend Phillip Suber officiating. Burial will follow in the Elkton Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, March 15 from 5-8 p.m. at the Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Russellville.
She is survived by her brother, Foster Shanklin of Chicago, Ill.
