FFA week at LCHS

The week of February 23-27 was National FFA Week. During National FFA Week the Logan County FFA Chapter sets up certain things to do each day. Monday was Blue and Gold Day so the FFA members had to wear blue and gold. Tuesday was Dress Like a Farmer Day and the FFA provided breakfast for their members. Wednesday was Pajama Day and the members wore their pajamas to school. Wednesday was also officer elections for the 2009-2010 officers.

The elected officers and junior officers are: President, Justin Allen; Vice President, Luke Wetton; Secretary, Chelsea Jones; Treasurer, Shenna Bilicki; Reporter, Robyn Estes; Sentinel, Jon Haley; Chaplain, Missy Miles; Parliamentarian, Jacob Hopkins; 2nd Vice President, Daniel Chick; 3rd Vice President, Logan Fugate; Jr. Vice President, Justin Hopkins; Jr. Secretary, Hunter Boswell; Jr. Treasurer, Jared Simmons; Jr. Reporter, Ethan White; Jr. Sentinel, Keith Richey; Jr. Chaplain, Cotton Hazel; Jr. Parliamentarian, Jon Keith Smith; Jr. 2nd Vice President, Nick Womack; and Jr. 3rd Vice President, Brooke Thomas.

Thursday was Club T-shirt Day and the FFA members wore their club t-shirts. We also had an FFA meeting with a Chapter Degree Ceremony and we visited with the National FFA President Paul Moya. Friday was wear Hunter Orange day and Muddy Truck Day and there were many members who wore hunter orange or camouflage. We had a Muddy Truck Competition and the winner was Thomas Nelson. Friday the FFA also had a party at Mary Beth Eichers house. The FFA members enjoyed volleyball, basketball, dodge ball and a free meal. The FFA concluded the week with and Alumni Cooking at the Creeks Bull Sale on Saturday. The FFA members cooked steak and took the meal to the Creeks sale and served it to the cattlemen.
