James Douglas Heltsley, 75, of Lewisburg, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.

He was born in Todd County on Saturday, Dec. 4, 1937, a son of the late James Heltsley and the late Lola Dickerson Heltsley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Heltsley was preceded in death by his wife, Opal McConnell Heltsley; his brother, Hershel Heltsley, and his sister, Dell Thomas.

Mr. Heltsley was a retired stacker at a sawmill and a member of Beechmont Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11 at 1 p.m. at Price Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Dunmor Cemetery in Dunmor. Visitation began in the funeral home Monday, March 11 after 10 a.m.

He is survived by his son, Michael Heltsley of Lewisburg and his grandchildren, Ashley Heltsley of Auburn and Kevin Heltsley of Russellville.
