The Logan County High School teams basketball season did not last long enough this year. Both teams had to overcome obstacles this year but were unable to finish where they wanted.
The Logan County Lady Cougars had a team built up of younger, inexperienced players. They were led by Scot MacAllister and ended the season 9-19.
The team will lose no seniors, but had underclassmen to help lead the team. Maegann Hardison, Abbey Hinton and Megan Lindsey were huge contributors throughout the season for the Lady Cougars.
With several injuries, the Lady Cougars brought in eighth graders to fill the gaps near the end of the season.
The Lady Cougars unfortunately could not make it past the first game of the district tournament, falling 35 points to the Franklin-Simpson Lady Wildcats.
The Logan County Cougars also had a tough season full of young players. The Cougars were led by new head coach Lonnie Mason.
Mason led the Cougars to a 6-20 record, with a big win over the Russellville Panthers earlier in February.
The Cougars will say goodbye to three season this year who include Torin Graham, Chris Neal and Ryan Basham.
Torin Graham was the overall points leader for the Cougars, scoring 443 points this season. Ben Wright ended the season with 332 and Landon Stratton had 214.
The Cougars ended their season in the quarterfinal game of the 13th district championship. They Cougars fell to the Panthers to end their season.
