Mary Agnes Harris, 89, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Dunmor on Sept. 29, 1923, a daughter of the late Walter McPherson and the late Jennie Hunt McPherson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded by her sisters, Odell Skipworth and Olene Long.

Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and a member of Beechland Baptist Church. Despite decreased mobility and poor health during her last 13 years, Mrs. Harris inspired others with her perseverance and sweet loving spirit.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at Price Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard Allen and Reverend Thurman Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery in Lewisburg. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, March 5 after 5 p.m.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Nolvis Harris; her son, Ron Harris (Barbara) of Russellville; her daughters, Carolyn Arnold (Durwood) of Central City and Sue Taylor (Gary) of Bowling Green; her brother, Jim McPherson of Russellville; her sister, Lorene Green of Waterford, Mich.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
