Burglar arrested after returning for child

The Russellville Police Department recently arrested a woman for burglarizing a house after returning to the scene of the crime to get her child

On Thursday, Feb. 14, the Russellville Police received a complaint from Pat Bell of a burglary in progress at her residence at 607 Sycamore Drive.

Bell told the police that she returned home that evening to find a juvenile, wearing pajamas and walking in the street in front of her residence.

According to Bell, the child said her mother, Tiffany Rock, was inside the residence selling Avon. When Bell attempted to enter the residence, Rock ran from the home and got into her vehicle, which was parked several houses down.

Rock was unaware that her daughter had left the vehicle and returned to Bell’s residence to get the child.

Police then arrived on the scene and arrested Rock. The child was place into the custody of social services.

Rock’s vehicle was seized and officers retrieved Bell’s stolen property.

Rock was arrested an lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of second degree burglary and endangering the welfare of a minor. She remains in custody with a $10,000 cash bond.

The investigating officer was Greg Bellar of the RPD.
