Janet Logsdon Angles, 65, formerly of Russellville, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her home in Crestwood.

She was born March 14, 1947, to James Nelson Logsdon and Dorothy Shoemaker Logsdon.

She was a Logan County native, a Christian, and an educator with Lewisburg Elementary school, receiving her Masters Degree in education from Western Kentucky University. She was a great lover of horses and a voracious reader of books.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond “Buddy” Angles, her father, James Nelson Logsdon and a brother, Roddy Logsdon.

Funeral services for Janet Logsdon Angles will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Charlie Heavrin officiating with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am and lasting until the funeral hour.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Shoemaker Logsdon of Lewisburg; son, Brett Angles and partner Dalton Ivey of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Jennifer Angles McLeod (Doug) of Crestwood; brothers, Vance Logsdon of Lewisburg and Brett Logsdon of Alabama; sister, Sabrina Potter of Clarksville, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Ian, Maggie, Kelsey and Grace.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Hosparus or The Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
