Sue Rutherford Coffman, 97, of Longview Drive, Russellville, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was a Logan County native, born September 20, 1915, to the late George Thomas Rutherford and Minnie Jane Peters Rutherford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Shelton Coffman; daughter, Norma Jane Simmonds; brothers, Raymond Rutherford, E.G. Rutherford and Felts Rutherford; and sisters, Dora Reeves and Luvenia Gregory.

She worked as a seamstress for Red Cap Industries for 30 years and was a member of Crittenden Drive Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home, with Charles Roney officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the Funeral Home will take place Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until the time of the service.

Pallbearers will be David Atkins, Rusty Burchett, Harris Dockins, Dave Dockins, Tracy Cole and Keith Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be elders Frank Dockins, Russell Jones, Jim Riley, Charles Roney and Rob Sindorff.

She is survived by nieces, Vicki Gregory of Bowling Green and Jane Ann Law of Dickson, Tenn.; grandson, Gary Simmonds of Pheonix, Ariz.; and great grandchildren Brooke Simmonds and Alex Simmonds, both of Arizona.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ Library Fund, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
