A company called HomeServe out of Louisville is sending out information to citizens in the city of Russellville concerning the purchasing of water or sewer line insurance. Russellville Mayor Mark Stratton announced the city is not affiliated with this company or any other company that is selling insurance for private water or sewer lines.
“We at the city have nothing to do with this company or any other, and whatever you do is one your own,” said Stratton at Tuesday’s city council meeting.
There is another company out there selling this insurance as well. This is not the first time these types of companies have tried to solicit these policies, which claim to protect a homeowner from costs associated with broken or problematic lines.
