Well, now that you have all your recipes cooked up! It’s time to think about what you are now going to do with all that time between now and April.

April is the time that I start thinking about FISHING! But it is a long time between now and then. So it occurred to me the other day, where do people get the ideas for songs and movies and books. You see sometimes it is difficult to think of what I want to put in this column; and all of a sudden it’s there, in my brain flowing through my fingers on to the key board. It’s like I am talking to all of you out there all at the same time. Then it occurred to me it’s just WORDS.

Then the word WORDS really got the old TG thinking. We are all full of WORDS. There are SWEET words and SOUR words.

SWEET words are wonderful, pleasing, and kind! Then SOUR words are awful, hurtful and nasty.

You know you have been around people that are happy all the time. Then you wonder; why can’t I be that happy? They never seem to have a problem. Once again it came to me they are positive people. They always think of the GOOD things to talk about. You just love to be around these people.

Then there are SOUR words; those people seem to always be in the world. Everywhere you turn; there is someone that just can’t wait to tell you words about someone else. These are not sweet words they are bad. Have you ever noticed that they get you in a bad mood! Especially in the morning, all I want to hear are SWEET words. The Hubby says, “I start his day wrong almost every day”! You see he doesn’t like to talk first thing in the morning. And of course you know I am not the quiet person in the world. I want to chatter on and on about something that really does matter to anything. It could be about a TV program that he didn’t watch or some “bright idea that I had just popped in my head that I wanted to do that day. So really I guess I will have to start talking to myself now. BE QUIET IN THE MORNING so the Hubby will be happy. I finally got the message.

I guess I am trying to say, there are positive people and negative people. I really try to be positive all the time but it is really hard.

So as I mentioned in my last column, this is really the BLAH time of the year. Nothing really happening in your life, the weather is dull outside, the lake is up, you got a cold; maybe the old nasty flu that is going around. So it’s really hard to think positive or say those SWEET words that you really wanted to say and then all of a sudden, there they are coming out of your mouth, those SOUR words. Then you are mad at yourself and want to pull all those words back and reword that sentence again! It’s easy when you are writing them with a pencil because you have an eraser. It’s even easier when you are typing because you have the backspace button on your desk top. But believe me when they flow from your mouth, there is no help at all at getting them back! I know, I have what you call “FOOT IN MOUTH DISEASE”. It seems like I am always doing this. I am forever saying “I’m sorry” to the Hubby. I know he get tired of this. So during this Blah time of the year, we need to think about good thoughts, beautiful words and try to be a better person. Stop being a motor mouth is one of my new year’s resolutions. There again, I say it is going to be hard but if I can do it, so can you. The Hubby tells everybody he sees, “she will talk to anyone that will listen”. I guess he is right. I love people. I guess you would call me a good communicator. That is a nice way of saying YOU TALK TOO MUCH.

Well once again, I have wandered on and on but I hope this has given you some ideas of what all of us need to do in the new year. The world out there is getting so stressful! We are going to have to love our neighbor just like they are. You can even tell them every once and a while. It might be nice to hear a kind word. You see that didn’t hurt at all. Just say something positive to someone that always seems to be negative. See what happens; they might even enjoy the day a little better.

Well, it’s time to go. I have wandered again, on and on as the Hubby would say. But enjoyed you letting me come into your world today and hope I will see you again next Friday.

I haven’t written a beautiful song like some people do or written a book yet! But I can say one positive thing, I’m certainly enjoying life. This is the only life we will have so you better “enjoy the moment

Till then, just stay well and happy!
