Gordon E. Harris, 92, of West 9th Street, Russellville, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.

He was a Logan County native, born October 23, 1920, to the late James Harris and Lulabelle Gosswick Harris.

He was a mechanic with General Motors, was World War II U.S. Army veteran and was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Helen Harris.

Funeral Services for Gordon E. Harris will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 evening from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers will be Keith Schlinck, Brandon Rogers, Stephen Rogers, Drew Miller, Brian Louckes, and Kevin Schlinck.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Nelle Harris; daughters, Betty Lovelady (Dane) of Holly, Mich. and Edna Snedeker of Pontiac, Mich.; step-daughters, Sherry Difiore of Bowling Green, Janice Poole (Joey) of Cadiz and Brenda Miller (Mark) of Russellville; step-sons, Bob Rogers (Jackie), Mike Rogers (Liz) and Bro. Don Rogers (Alecia) all of Auburn; nephew James Morris Harris (Joan) of Georgia; niece Kathy Sawick (Greg) of Russellville; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the American Lung Association envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
