Clark Cowan, 74, of Adairville, died Thursday January 10, 2013, at North Crest Medical Center.
Mr. Cowan was born November 1, 1938, in Logan County. He was a farmer, real estate and insurance salesman, logger, avid fisherman, and loved animals and gardening. Mr. Cowan was a member of Eastland Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie “J.L.” Cowan, and by his grandson, Brett Johnson.
Memorial services were conducted Sunday January 13th at 3 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith officiating.
Mr. Cowan is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Jolley Cowan of Adairville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy Cowan of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Chris and Misty Cowan of Portland, Tenn., LouAnn Holman Cowan of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; daughter, Cathy Diane and Barry Johnson of Adairville, mother, Lois Cowan of Russellville, brother and sister-in-law; Duane and Gale Cowan of Greenbrier, Tenn.; sister, Bea Long of Russellville; grandchildren, Ashley Barfield, Kelsey Johnson, Marissa Cowan, Presley Cowan and great grandchild Kristen Barfield.
