Doma Ruth Stewart, 91, of Franklin, Ky., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

She was born in Simpson County, Ky. June 21, 1921, a daughter of the late Oscar P. Owen and the late Elizabeth Gray Byrum Owen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Stewart.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Macedonia General Baptist Church and a former employee of the Kendall Company.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Simpson County, Ky. Visitation began Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 3-8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 10 from 6 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Brady (Carl) of Franklin, Ky.; her son, David Stewart (Ruth) of Russellville, Ky.; her grandchildren, Steven Brady, Cathy Knight, Melissa Reynolds and David Stewart; eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
