The Russellville City Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 522 E 2nd Street. When fire units arrived fire and smoke was already extending from the engine compartment starting to spread to the interior of the vehicle. Captain Scot Celsor and firefighter Mario Ibarra quickly extinguished the fire, but due to so much fire and smoke the car was a total loss. The city fire department was assisted by the Russellville Police Department.
