Juanita B. Silvey, 91, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, Ky.

She was born in Muhlenberg County on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Lawrence Baugh and the late Myrtle Carver Baugh. She was the wife of the late Joe Silvey.

Mrs. Silvey had been employed by Woodlees Grocery, a nurse aide for Dr. George Brackman, and a longtime Dunmor community correspondent for the News-Democrat & Leader newspaper. She was also a member of Dunmor Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at Dunmor Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Dunmor Cemetery. Visitation began Thursday, Jan. 3 after 5 p.m. at Price Funeral Home and again Friday, Jan. 4 beginning at 12 p.m. at the church.

She is survived by her son, Barry Silvey of Lewisburg; her sister, Betty Shingledecker of Greenville; her grandchildren; Becky Young of Dunmor, and Jenny Harper of Belton; her great-grandchildren, Nate Harper and Matthew Harper, both of Belton, and several nieces and nephews.
