Mary Ewing Hart, 78, of Russellville, died Saturday, December 22, 2012.
She was born in Logan County on July 29, 1934, to the late Gilson and Mary Walker Perry Hart.
She was retired from Russellville High School where she served as Secretary for 38 Years and was a member of the United Methodist Temple, where she served in multiple capacities. She was a volunteer at the Museum/Visitor’s center. Mary Ewing attended Russellville schools and graduated from Russellville High in 1952. She attended the University of Louisville and Bowling Green Business University where she completed training in bookkeeping.
Graveside Services for Mary Ewing Hart were conducted Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the Maple Grove Cemetery with Dr. J. Earl (Judge) Coker officiating. Visitation was in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel Thursday from 1-2:45 p.m.
Pallbearers were Jesse Riley, Joe Sparks, Charlie Ray, Buddy Meade, Tom Kirkpatrick, Terry Jayne, Jon Paul Stuart
and Andy Mac Rector.
She is survived by her first cousin, Elizabeth Talley Flynn of Florence, S.C. and second cousins, Katherine Flynn Egan (Tim) of Lilburn, Ga., Bill Flynn of Yucca Valley, Calif., Susan Flynn Boruff (Brian) of Potomac Fall, Va., Julie Anne Flynn of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Michael Flynn (Peggi) of Florence, S.C., Andrew P. Flynn (Holly) of Florence, S.C., Trey Morgan of Tallahassee, Fla., Talley Morgan of Quincy, Fla. and Susan Morgan Breedlove and (Rev. Bill) of Overland Park, Kan.
The family asks that donations be made to the United Methodist Temple. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
