By now Old Santa has been and gone back to whereever. Hope you and yours had a safe and healthy time, and to get ready to write 2013, so happy New Years.
Our sympathy to the family of Junior Smock. His services were on Sunday.
The Gleaners Sunday school class met last Monday for Breakfast, a treat by their teacher, Martha Wright. The others were Virginia Hart, Evelyn Skipworth and Marvine Borders. They had a good time.
I’ve gotten lots of cards and pictures, which I really enjoy.
One day this past week, I got a call from Fortville, Indiana from Lyndle and Clestiable Tabb. They are both having problems. Neither can see very well and she was sorry that they were unable to send cards. That I’m sure a lot of us can understand. They are still home, but not able to do much. They had several inches of snow too.
Visitors of Virginia Hart have been Curtis and Brenda Coursey and Bob Birdwhistle. She, like me, enjoys her company.
Lannie and Judy Jernigan met some of his family one day this past week and enjoyed their visit and at at “The Purple Onion.” I think this is in Central City. Sounds good!
Tuesday Judy Jurnigan went to town as I had an eye doctor’s appointment. After we got done there, Martine Brown and Kathryn Stuart met us at KFC and we had lunch together. We had a good visit.
Mrs. Elaine Gower of nearby Epley and Howard Stuart and Merrill Stuart of Warren County visited a while with Marvine Borders. It was a surprise and she really enjoyed them stopping in.
Martine Brown and Jolene Adler one afternoon this past week drove to Hearthstone Place in Elkton and visited a while with Lucille Whitson and Mae White and while there, ate at Two Kates restaurant. They said it was very good.
Those that have been in here this past week and Lannie and Judy Jernigan, David Jernigan and Cassidy (they brought the fruit basket from church) Stacey Jernigan, Curtis and Brenda Coursey, Martha Williams and Bob Birdwhistle and Wilma Ballard of Russellville. Thanks for stopping in, gifts, cards and most of all your visits.
Our sympathy to the Sharp family in the death of their mom, Mrs. Mary Sharp. Home of her sons, Ray, is married to my niece, Sandra Fleming Sharp. There are some more siblings. I remember Vicki and Faye.
Happy New Year’s! See ya next year, hopefully.
