The Logan County Cougars travelled to the home of the Warren Central Dragons on Monday night. The Cougars fought hard, but lost the fight 93-63.

The first quarter started off good for the Cougars as they were keeping up with the Dragons. The Cougars ended the first quarter down seven points and shortened the game during the second quarter and went into the half only down five points with a score of 44-39.

The second half of the game did not go well for the Cougars, as they fell behind 17 points to end the third quarter. The Dragons continued to score and it resulted in a 30 points loss to the Cougars.

Tucker Baldwin led the Cougars Monday night with 15 points. Torin Graham and Ben Wright followed with 13 each.

“In the first half we played our style of basketball. We were controlling the tempo of the game and we were playing good team ball,” said head coach Lonnie Mason. “In the second half they got frustrated and they started pulling away from us. We started trying to play their style of ball and we don’t have the talent for that right now.”

The Cougars will play in the First Southern National Bank Christmas Classic on Thursday. The Cougars will play Caldwell County at home at 8 p.m.
