Earl Glenn Shemwell Sr., 77, of Russellville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born in Lewisburg Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1935, a son of the late Frank Shemwell and the late Osie Allen Shemwell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shemwell was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Shemwell.

Mr. Shemwell was a retired truck driver with Roadway and a member of Oak Forrest Baptist Church.

Funeral services wee held Monday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at Price Funeral Home with the Reverend David Morgan officiating. Burial followed in the Lewisburg Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

He is survived by his sons, Earl Glenn Shemwell Jr. (Edie) of Los Angeles, Calif. and Anthony Wayne Shemwell (Evelyn) of Jacksonville, Fla.; his daughter, Gwendolyn McAdams (Richard) of Brentwood, Tenn.; his brother, Jimmy Shemwell (Jeanette) of Russellville; his sister, Mary Jo Michael (Willis) of Canton, Ga.; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
