Ross Taylor Edmonds, 63, of Hopkinsville and formerly of Elkton, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

He was born in Elkton April 3, 1949, a son of the late Charles William Edmonds and Melvine Ealy Edmonds.

Mr. Edmonds was a United States Army veteran and retired from the Army Reserves with 10 years active duty service and 12 years reserves service. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Elkton.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 6 at 12 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Elkton with Reverend Phillip Suber officiating. Burial followed in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. Visitation began Thursday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Latham Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his sons, William Ross Edmonds of Clarksville, Tenn. and Jerome Taylor and Wayne Taylor both of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Tina Graves of Trenton; his brothers, Christopher Edmonds and Shelvie Robert “Bobby” Edmonds both of Hopkinsville; his sisters, Joyce Tolliver of Matteson, Ill., Sherrie Foreman and Hazel Graham both of Clarksville, Tenn. and Natalie “Liz” Edmonds and Dora Clardy both of Hopkinsville, and several grandchildren.
