Hilton Adamson, 89, of the Greenridge community, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Hopkins County May 5, 1923, a son of the late Earl Henry and Frances Beashear Adamson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Adamson was preceded in death by his son, Gary Adamson; his sister, Nadine Adamson, and his brother, Harold Adamson.

Mr. Adamson was a World War II Army veteran.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Johnny Fuller officiating. Burial followed in the Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, Nov. 19 from 5-7 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 20 after 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were, Michael Christian, Bobby Harbison, John Long, Willie Armstrong, Ronald Starks, and Bobby Everett.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Adamson; his brother, James “Buddy” Adamson of Adolphus; his sister, Shirley Gilliam of West Moreland; his devoted sister-in-law, Vera Nealy’ his nieces, Barbara Christian and Caroline Nealy, and several nephews.
