William Joseph “Quack” Hedges, 59, of East 7th Street in Russellville, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.

He was a Logan County native, born March 12, 1953 to the late Charles William Hedges and Annelle Jane McCarty Hedges.

He was a 1971 Graduate of Russellville High School, attended Western Kentucky University was the owner of Hedges Discount Printing, was a Christian, a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the Explorer Scout Troop which Toured Europe.

A Celebration of Life Service for William Joseph “Quack” Hedges will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in the new Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Danny Williams officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday beginning at 4 p.m. and lasting until the service hour. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Liver Foundation or to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Trice, Keith Northern, Joe Smotherman, Roy Sayne, Eddie Shoemake and Mike McCormick.

He is survived by his brother, Bob Hedges (Patricia) of Russellville and aunts, Marilyn McCarty Griffin (Robert) and JoAnne Hedges Moffat, both of Russellville.
