On Sept. 8, 2012, Jessica Lauren Stuart was given in marriage by her parents David and Kathy Stuart and her son Logan of Russellville, to James Lance Porter, son of Linda Porter of Dunmor and the late Dale Porter. The ceremony was held at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ in Russellville at 5:30 p.m. and was officiated by Harris Dockins. A double scripture reading was performed by Daniel McCarley.
The bride wore an ivory strapless satin gown with a drop waist and sweetheart bodice featuring delicate pearls, crystals, sequins and bugle beads with a chapel train. She wore an ivory elbow length veil with pearls, beads and sequins adorning the edge. She carried a handheld bouquet with white Asiatic lilies, green button poms, hot pink and orange roses, dark purple daisies, yellow fugi mums, solidago and pink wax flower. The stems were wrapped with ivory ribbon. A broche that belonged to her great grandmother was pinned on the front.
Serving as Matron of Honor was Nicole Thomas of Russellville, cousin of the bride. Serving as Bridesmaids were Caitlin Smith of Portland, Tenn., friend of the bride, Natalie Jessup of Lewisburg, friend of the bride, Christa Yates of Auburn, friend of the bride and Lindsey Brown of Lewisburg, friend of the bride. Serving as Flower Girl was Ainsley Johnson of Russellville, cousin of the bride.
The bridal attendants wore latte strapless, floor length ball gowns with a ruched bodice. The flower girl wore an ivory sleeveless satin floor length dress with a latte sash.
Serving as Best Man was Donnie Porter of Rusellville, brother of the groom. Serving as Groomsmen were Broc Porter of Bowling Green, cousin of the groom, Jonathan Stuart of Russellville, brother of the bride, Anthony Jessup of Lewisburg, friend of the groom and Josh Winn of Belton, friend of the groom. Serving as Little Best Man was Logan Gidcumb, son of the bride.
Serving as Ushers were Justin Stuart of Russellville, brother of the bride, Derrick Porter of Russellville, nephew of the groom, Dillon Porter of Russellville, nephew of the groom and Cyle Forgy of Lewisburg, nephew of the groom. Serving as Guest Register Attendant was Ashley Forgy of Lewisburg, niece of the groom. Serving as Program Attendant was Elyse Brock of Russellville, friend of the couple.
Kyle McPherson sang “God Gave Me You” and the bride chose a variety of musical selections.
The reception was held at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ immediately following the ceremony where they served heavy hors d’oeuvres.
The bride’s going away outfit was an ivory lace sundress.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Logan County High School and a 2009 graduate of Bowling Green Technical College with an Associates Degree in applied science in radiology. Later she received certification in computer tomography.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Muhlenberg South High School and a 2007 graduate of Bowling Green Technical College where he received an Associates Degree in applied science with distinction in electricity.
After a seven day Western Caribbean cruise, the couple will be residing in Russellville.
