Debbie and Joe Grise recently attended “Lincoln Days” in Hodgenville.
The fall festival is traditionally held the first Saturday in the month of October. A large crowd attended the Look-a-Like contests. The contestants were from as far as New York and as close as Nashville, Tenn.
The Mary Todd contestants had to dress in period costumes and give a speech. The winners were announced and Debbie Grise of Russellville won 2nd place honors and $75.
Her husband Joe said to someone after the announcement, “Her dress was beautiful, but her speech brought tears to my eyes.”
