William (Billy) L. Bingham, II was awarded a diploma on August 24, 2012, at commencement exercises during the 68th annual session of the prestigious Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was selected by his fellow classmates as the friendliest member of the class.

The School, sponsored by the 18 state bankers associations comprising the Central States Conference of Bankers Associations, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was established in 1945 to provide bankers with an opportunity for advanced study and research in banking, economics and leadership. Instruction at the Graduate School of Banking takes place during two-week resident sessions for three consecutive summers, along with comprehensive study between summer resident sessions. The curriculum focuses on the management of strategic issues faced by banking executives and financial services industry professionals.

The Graduate School of Banking enrolls approximately 550 US and international professionals each year. Over 85 esteemed academicians, economists, government officials, and industry professionals comprise the School’s faculty.

Mr. Bingham has worked for over 25 years in the banking industry in Logan and Todd counties. He is currently the President/CEO of Lewisburg Banking Company and has served in this capacity since 2004. He is a member of the Lewisburg Banking Company board of directors and a member of the Lewisburg Bancshares Corporation board, where he serves as board secretary.

In addition to his local bank affiliation, he also serves as director on the Bankers’ Bank of Kentucky board and as director on the Bluegrass Banker’s Association of Kentucky board.

Mr. Bingham is very active in many civic and youth organizations in Logan County. He is a member of Crossroads Church, past president and member of Russellville Rotary Club , past board member and member of Logan County Chamber of Commerce and past president of Logan Economic Alliance for Development. He is a board member of the Logan County Little League Baseball board and assistant coach of the Logan County Middle School Football team.

He lives near Olmstead, where he resides with his wife Melodie Goodman Bingham and their children, Will and Blayke. He is the son of Hilda Bingham and the late Bill Bingham.
