The deGraffenried Chorale and the Russellville Arts Council are cohosting an event on Saturday, Nov. 3 called “Chorale, Cider and Chagall” in the Russellville High School foyer and auditorium.

The event will feature an art auction, hosted by State of the Arts and will have plenty of works to pick from.

“There will be over 100 different works from well-known and famous artists,” said Larry Vaught of the Russellville Arts Council. “There will also be pieces of art for auction that will be for sale as well.”

A portion of the proceeds from the art auction will be split between the deGraffenried Chorale and the Russellville Arts Council. All the proceeds from the sale of the local artists’ work will go directly to the two groups.

The fine art preview will begin at 5:30 p.m. and there will be delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by the high school’s Panther Catering program.

The art auction will begin at 7 p.m. All the art will be available to take home right after the auction, Vaught said, but the company hosting it will have a variety of framing options available as well.

Following the auction, the deGraffenried Chorale will be giving a preview performance of their upcoming holiday concert.

“We are trying to promote the visual arts as well as the deGraffenried Chorale,” Vaught said. “We think this will be a very enjoyable evening for everyone.”

Tickets cost $10 for a single and $15 for a couple. Advance tickets can be purchased from any Chorale or Arts Council member or email Frank Walton at waltons4144@bellsouth.net or Larry Vaught at brolarry@logantele.com for more information.
