Virginia Lee Gupton, 95, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at her home.

She was born in Logan County June 11, 1917, a daughter of the late James Gilliam and the late Minnie Lyons Gilliam. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gillima was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George Ernest Gupton, her infant daughter, Peggy Jean Gupton; her brothers, Monroe Gilliam, Mack Gilliam, Marion Gilliam and Willie Gilliam, and her sisters, Mary Taylor, Eva Knight and Ora Swallows.

Mrs. Gupton was a homemaker and a charter member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Wayne Hunter and Reverend Bart Myers officiating. Burial followed in the Vernal Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Wednesday, Oct. 24 after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her sons, George M. Gupton (Liz) of MT, Jerry T. Gupton (Cindy), Robert Bruce Gupton and Earl David Gupton all of Lewisburg; her daughters, Minnie Lou White (Bob) of Ohio, Beverly Sue Stahl (Jerry) of Russellville, Brenda Joyce Gupton (Joe) of Texas and Jackie Saindon (Len) of Franklin; her sister, Elvira Parker of Russellville; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several loving nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
