Lois Eleanor Herndon Chick, 82, of Lewisburg Road, Russellville, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

She was a Logan County native, born June 24, 1930 to the late Press Herndon and Mary Hannah Herndon. She worked in the personnel department for Red Kap Industries and was a delivery person for Riley White Drugs. She was a member of Center Baptist Church, where she was a choir member, Sunday School teacher and pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Drury Chick.

Funeral services for were conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012, at Post Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Williams and Bro. Donnie White officiating and burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at Post Oak Baptist Church began at 9 a.m., on Monday.

Pallbearers were Jon Paul Boisseau, Henry Smith, Sammy Chick, Mike Herndon, Lloyd Houchens and Mike Corum.

She is survived by her son, Danny Chick and companion, Kathy, Logan Chick and wife Judy of Russellville; sister-in-law, Faye Herndon of Hopkinsville; special nieces, Mary Bailey, Susie Chesnut and Jackie Andrews; special nephew, Sammy Chick, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Gideon’s International or Sunrise Ministries. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Summers, Kirby and Sanders was in charge of arrangements.
