The Bowling Green, Ky. Air Evac Lifeteam base has been selected as the company’s 2012 Region 2 Community Service Base of the Year by the national air ambulance company. Region 2 consists of Air Evac Lifeteam bases in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio and West Virginia.
The Community Service Base of the Year Award is presented to the base in the Air Evac Lifeteam system that has shown outstanding community service in its market area.
“The Bowling Green base has had a tremendous effect in their service area,” said Regional Director of Base Operations Janie Ward. “Not only have they completed more than 100 outreach educational offerings over the past year, the base was instrumental in the development of a regional EMS association.
“Additionally, the base has been and remains engaged with several hospital systems in the development and advancement of stroke and STEMI programs,” added Ward.
The Bowling Green base is located at 347 31 W. Bypass Suite B and is led by Program Director Robert Rowland, who is in charge of all operations at the base.
