The Logan County Cougars football team traveled to Edmonson County on Friday and came back with a loss.
The Edmonson County Wildcats beat the Cougars 49-14, which brings the Cougars season record to 1-5.
The Wildcats came out and had an early lead in the game of 9-0 after a one yard touchdown and a safety. The Wildcats would quickly score another touchdown putting the score 15-0. The Cougars responded quickly after a two yard touchdown run by a Anthony Oberhausen that was set up by a 69 yard rush by Senior Gage Hales.
The Wildcats ended the half 35-7 after two more touchdowns, one of which was an interception thrown by Justin Rone. The Cougars didn’t give up in the second half, and scored 46 yard touchdown after a successful pass from Justin Rone to Taylor Blakemore.
The Cougars would fall to the Wildcats 49-14. Gage Hales would end the game with 181 yards rushing and 200 total yards of offense.
The Cougars will face the Bowling Green Purples next Friday in an away game.
