James David Higdon, 64, of Mayfield and formerly of Elkton, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at his home.
He was born Aug. 17, 1948, a son of the late James Willard (JW) and Willodean Boatwright Higdon.
Mr. Higdon was a member of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Higdon’s family has chosen cremation with a memorial service at a later date in North Carolina. There will be no visitation or service locally. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived locally by his aunt, Mary Averitt and several cousins.
