Genesis 7:7,16 “And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in”.

The ark was the only way that Noah and his family could be saved, it is also a picture of many New Testament promises that we will look at.

(1) The Ark is a picture of Jesus Christ

The only way to miss judgement is to repent, and place your eternity in the hands and the finished work of the Saviour. The only way that Noah and his family could escape universal judgement was to obey the command of God. If Noah hadn’t been obedient and got in the ark he would’ve perished with the rest of humanity. The same thing will happen to this generation after the dispensation of Grace comes to an end. As God shut the door of the ark and sealed those on the outside to universal judgement, so also will God shut the door on this generation.

(2) The ark is a picture of Salvation

According to Genesis 6:16, the ark only had one door. There is only one way to heaven, that’s through the Blood of Jesus Christ. We live in a politically correct society that preaches “tolerance of other religions,” yet Jesus himself said” I am the way, the truth, and the life:no man cometh unto the father, but by me.” ( John 14:6 ) It is high time that God’s people stand for the truth!Our nation has been overran with every perversion and false religion, when God clearly by His grace and mercy let this nation begin as a God fearing Christian nation. Pray that America will turn back to Jehovah God!

(3) The ark is a picture of Humanity

According to Genesis 6:16, there were 3 stories on the ark God is not a respecter of persons, though you might be rich, middle class or poor, all three groups have to go through the same door. God loved this world so much that he gave up his only son to die for each and every persons sin. Jesus sent out the call for lost humanity when he said in John 6:37” All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that comet to me I will in no wise cast out.” Turn to God while there’s still hope.

Get in the only Ark that can save you, the Lord Jesus Christ is your only hope!
