Trivie Marie Shemwell, 93, of Elkton, died Sunday, Aug. 05, 2012, at Hearthstone Place in Elkton.

She was born Feb. 13, 1919, a daughter of the late Seth Ella Driskill and Amy Hall Driskill Bagby. In additionh to her parents, Mrs. Shemwell was preceded in death by her husband, James Mark Shemwell in 1979 and her sons, Joe and Wayne Shemwell, both in 1963.

Mrs. Shemwell was a homemaker and a member of the Collier Springs General Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home with Reverend David Blake and Reverend Freddie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Shemwell of Elkton and Mark Shemwell of Bright Life Farms, Princeton; her grandchildren, Ruth Marie Kelso of Indianapolis, Ind., Brad Shemwell of Elkton and Andy Shemwell of Hopkinsville, and four great-grandchildren.
