Gary W. Bailey, 67 of Anderson Street, Russellville, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Auburn Health Care.

He was born in Logan County, Kentucky on May 23, 1945, to the late John Weldon Bailey and Ruth Irene Costellow Bailey. He worked as an orderly for the Logan County Hospital and also with Emerson Electric Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a Kentucky Colonel, an avid UK Fan and a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Belt officiating and burial in the Chandlers Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home was Tuesday at 11 a.m. and continue until the service hour.

Pallbearers were Jerry Hunsinger, Chip Belt, Nathan Lacy, Jon Lacy, Allen Costellow, Barry Reed and Danny Reed.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Belt (Melvin) of Russellville; aunts Eunice Reed of Auburn, Mazelle Collins of Russellville, Mary Bailey of Alvin, Texas and Vonelle Wherry of Flint, Mich.; uncle, Wayburn Costellow of Russellville and several nieces and nephews.
