It’s that time once again, Spa time. A beautiful week, got a good shower, however, we think we need more. I hear the gardens are looking good. I have a hanging basket of tomatoes and that thing is hanging full of of some ripe and lots of small ones, so I’m sure enjoying watching them, also eating them.
Visiting recently with Martine Brown was a good friend Linda Mallory.
I still have some sweet potato slips if you want them.
An obit last week was for Elsie Mullen Jackson, she was interned in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. She was the former sister-in-law of Elvera McCoy of Louisville. She had previously been married to Elvera’s brother John Henry Mullen. Her services were June 14th and Elvera got to attend the services. Our sympathy to the family. She got to visit with nephews Bobby, Johnny and Jimmie and niece Davonna.
James Fuller had a visit with his Dr. Thursday, while there received another treatment, has another appointment July, hope he gets to feeling much better. Sue, of course, made then trip with him.
Thursday, bringing lunch and enjoying the day with her mom Virginia Hart, were Carolyn and Roger Gibson of Warren County. Also celebrating a birthday was Carolyn. They all had a good visit.
If you are in need of fresh veggies and “stuff,” Bev Whitson still has them at the corner of 431 and 106. She has had some very good corn and tomatoes, I can eat more tomatoes, I guess they are my favorite. Oh, are they called veggies or fruit? Me, I say veggies.
Remember the 27th, the day of our annual picnic, it is pot-luck. We always have lots of eats and lots of fun. If you have not made it before, please come, we’ love to meet you.
Enjoying Father’s Day with Judy and Lannie Jernigan Sunday were their kids and grandkids David and Stacey Jernigan and kids Kaitlyn, Madison and Cassidy, Kim and Johnny Richardson and Gracey. They sent me lunch, thank you very much.
Rufus Coursey is still having problems, he and a calf had a disagreement and the calf won, feet down. He kicked Rufus on his so called good leg, with the other one already causing problems. he is one sore crippled guy at the moment. Hope he can soon get over at least a big part of the problem.
Those in this past week have been David and Stacey Jernigan, Ada Dorris and Brenda Coursey. They all brought eats, again many thanks. So I’m eating good veggies and this is my favorite eats.
Hope all had a good “Father’s Day.” Hope if you had kids away, at least they did call or sent a card. Anyway, appreciate your dad as sometimes they pass away, so be grateful.
Enjoying Father’s Day breakfast with their parents Sue and James Fuller were Jeff and Corrie Fuller, Sean, Olivis, Brett and Luke, Tony and Marsha Fuller, Kevin (heather was not along), Bryan and Jessica Fuller, Maranda Connally, Addison and Bayleigh, which they all enjoyed very much.
The reason Heather was not present was because her parents Bro. Ray and Sharon Gilliand Belton were celebrating their 70th anniversary, Corrie (another daughter) visited earlier. Hope they had a blessed day and more on their way. That is a very good record.]
If nothing slips or breaks, see ya next time around. Smile!
