The LCHS football team and held a football camp early this week where the youths from the county could come out and show that the future of LCHS football is incredibly bright. Kids practice the fundamentals with the coaches and high school players. From how to tackle, the proper technique to taking a hand off, and how to preform in the pocket, the youths got a head start on their football careers under the watchful eyes of the LCHS coaching staff. Under head coach Dain Gregory the Cougars will be trying to build a consistent winning program that can compete with the likes of Bowling Green, and Warren Central, both of which reside in their district. The coaching staff knows that to build what the Purples have, it all starts with the younger athletes. With over 40 young athletes coming out to participate in the three day camp, the future is looking as bright as ever for the Cougars football program.
