Hiday! Hope you had a good week getting to do what you want to and enjoying yourself.
Would you believe while I was in the local hospital the phone rang and it was one of those unwanted calls trying to sell something? Imagine in a room at the hospital, how they got that room number I’ll never know. It is bad enough getting them at home but there, gross.
Judy and Lannie Jernigan and others of the family met last Sunday at Richardson’s Chapel for the Jernigan’s side of the family for a pot-lunch get to gather and had lots of eats and a good time.
Mallory Whitson, daughter of Greg and Wendy last Saturday at Campbellsville won Reserve Grand Championship in her breed of calf show. Good girl Mallory, we are proud of you.
Last Monday celebrating her birthday which is Sunday was Kathryn Stuart of Russellville as she ate lunch with me. We could not decide when we first began doing this but we think at least 40 years. I always fixed her special birthday lunch and she always fixed mine and James which was October 24th and included Bob as his was the 13th of November, so as I’ve said we’ve eaten lots of birthday dinners together. I really enjoyed having her.
I checked in with my Dr. Tuesday, Dr. Kamal Singh. Judy Jernigan took me, so we met our friend Kathryn Stuart and ate lunch at the China Buffet. We enjoyed it, that’s for sure.
We saw Hester Martin and Ada Dorris there, they were celebrating Ada’s birthday.
Roy and Betty Taylor and Martine Brown attended the 50th anniversary this past Sunday of James and Dora Miles at Fairview.
The 5th being Lannie Jernigan’s birthday, he and Judy spent the day out last week and ate at Barkley Lodge, they enjoyed the day out.
Sunday being Kathryn Stuart’s birthday, she had the most enjoyable week, in fact on Thursday, son John and Lisa Stuart invited her out to Roy’s for her “day,” little did she know “surprise, surprise” when she walked in there were all those people, being 25 and all to help her celebrate. Other son, Jimmie and Darlene, daughter Nancy and John David Renfro, besides the other people, needless to say she did enjoy the surprise. Many more happy birthday wishes to you Kathryn.
A serious fire (house) occurred one night this week at George and Bev Whitson’s home, thank God for a dog, she is what woke them up, my thinking is, had not the dog woke them up, they would have lost their lives, quite a bit of damage was done, and my, my all the smoke all over everything in the house, I’d say they have truly been blessed.
This is your invitation for your rescheduled June picnic in the 27th on Wednesday, you can read, hence the invite,k so I will not be calling you. We will eat around 11:30 a.m. or 12 noon, bring pot-luck and be surprised at all the great eats and fun times we have. This is something we have done for several years, so please come.
I had a good day this past Wednesday when good friend WKU retired professor Dr. Lynwood Montell of Bowling Green came down and we got to go out and found some roads we had never, ever been on. I kept saying, you sure you have enough gas to find our way back home? We finally made it, of course we had to stop at Webb’s and eat, so we did have a fun day.
Others in this week have been Judy Jernigan, Brenda Coursey and Elaine brought Kyla and Michaela in before taking them tot he mountains to meet their parents John and Jessica Sweeney of Charleston, S Carolina. They returned home on Sunday.
See ya! Have a good week!
