You thought I would get so busy at the lake that I would forget to write this little column. Well, no way.

You see there are lots of little things you love about living here. Take the quiet of the morning when you are having your coffee on the porch watching nature. How many of you really watch nature, really watch anything. I can almost tell you the day the leaves come out on the trees. What a pain the squirrels are on my bird feeder and water level of the lake! That is the most important information to have when you live here. The next most important is fishing! I know every fisherman or woman, on the lake. As you can see, I love to talk and I feel like I have talked to every one of them.

It seems like you are always waiting on something at the lake. Waiting for the water to go down, waiting for the summer heat to cool off. Waiting for the mail to come. Mine comes in the afternoon. Never had that before and it is a pain sometime when you are waiting on something important. One thing you can count on, UPS and FEDEX is always there. Wonderful!

You know when you live in a city, a big city, I must say, you have everything at your finger tips. Such as that favorite lipstick, a pair of tennis shoes just like the ones you have. Well, sometimes that is an impossibility unless you drive and drive and drive. That is one of the reasons you live at the lake…so you can stay at the lake, not run every where to get everything you need. So I discovered the ever “famous catalog”. The minute you move to the lake every company in the world has your name so you can receive a catalog. Yep, I love them, just phone them up and order anything you want! I am now on a “first name basis” with both delivery guys. So you see that is one more advantage to “easy living” at the lake. Just sit back and relax and enjoy.
