Hello in reader’s land, hope you had a good week. Weather a bit cooler, some very beautiful days.
Debbie Timberlake was an overnight guest at the Medical Center in Bowling Green one night last week for some tests, is home and hope to soon find the trouble and feels a lot better.
Last Saturday Betty Grayson was the happy excited lady for a birthday party at the Ponderosa in Central City. Her 2 sisters got the group together to help celebrate her “day.” Of course her hubby Herald got to go, in fact 56 people gave her quite a surprise. Two of her cousins from Louisville attended also. To say the least she really enjoyed her “day.”
Cousin Lasley said he had talked to his brother Marshall in St. Louis, he seemed to be doing good. That Ruth Costellow of Adairville is in the hospital in Springfield, hope she is soon better.
Danny Coursey and Nelson Harris visited former Spa resident one day this past week and that was Tommy Johnson in Beaver Dam. he is not doing very well, wish he could feel better.
I’ve been back to the ER with more medication, seems I can’t get over one thing till I’ve developed something else. I’m tired and ready to feel better. My right foot has been swollen up enough for two feet, now my right hand has developed a big knot and red with arthritis and by crackles, it hurts.
Chandler Jackson, 4-year-old son of Courtney and Grandy Jackson is in Vanderbilt in Nashville, has had surgery the result of I understand dog bite by a Great Dane. He is cousin Lasley’s great-grandson, hope he will be okay. I’m sure this must hurt terribly, don’t know if he will have to have more surgery later or not.
I report back to the Dr. tomorrow, hope I can soon get better. I’m tire of being sick; however, I realize things could be much worse.
Last night, Saturday being prom night, Stanley came and got me, took me down to their house where the “prom kids” were dressed and getting their pictures made. That being Tara and her date… uh oh… Chris what? I’ve forgotten his last name. She had on a beautiful orange gown, he the black tux with… uh oh again… what do you call it, boutonniere? It was the color of her dress, they looked real good. I understand they had a great time, a one in a lifetime experience.
What is it now, about 2 more weeks of school? I’m sure the kids will enjoy being out as will teachers.
Those being in this week have been Stacey Jernigan, Wanda Coursey, Bev Whitson, Bro. Art, Judy Jernigan, Steve Timberlake and Martha Wright, bless her heart, she got here in time to take me to ER. I appreciate her very much.
According to the church bulletin, guest speaker next Sunday at Elk Lick at the 1 o’clock service will be Lon Sosh. Everyone knows and loves Lon, so if you can get a chance to come you will be most welcome.
Until next time, see ya!
