Good morning friends and neighbors. Once again it is dark and gloomy, but we won’t let that get our spirits down.

We are so happy to know that our good friend Hazel Fleming came through her hip surgery real well. Barry got her address where I could call her from Stanley, but I have yet to get it. He is in and out so much, it is hard to pin him down. But I will get it and I will call. I’m so glad it is all behind her and she can go through the healing process. God still answers out prayers.

June Hendricks Robbins, of Greenville, Beverly McPherson and I enjoyed getting together for lunch one day last week. I had not seen June for some time and I was real glad to see her and it is always good to spend time with Beverly. Joe Hendricks of Owensboro has been a lifelong friend and he is not at all well. June said she would take me to see him and I surely do want to go. he put forth a special effort to come to my birthday and I really was glad to see him.

Well, the big basketball games will soon be in progress and I fear for our beloved Wildcats. Becky Jo was real happy to be able to go to New Orleans and see them play there, although the last game was very disappointing. She is like the rest of the family – an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan.

I was finally able to get out one day last week and buy me some clothes. Everything I have doesn’t fir anymore so it was past time to go shopping. A good friend took me and really helped in selecting what I bought.

Josh and Jenny Ruth visited with me Monday afternoon. I was really glad to see them as they both stay so busy that they don’t have much time for visiting. but it is always a joy to see my family.

Margie Latham and Patsey Green spent one afternoon last week here. We had a nice visit even if we couldn’t solve all the problems of the world. I was sorry to hear that Margie’s daughter Vickie Martin is not doing well. She has really had her problems and we hope and pray that her health can be better.

Well, I can guess that another hunting season is about to be here. This time it is turkey time. Barry went to Nashville today to get a new blind. Every season seems to bring on a new need for something else they need. He and Josh were talking turkey talk when he was here yesterday.

There is a load of clothes waiting for me to fold, so I might as well get to it.

Until we meet again. May the Lord bless and keep you and may all your troubles be small ones.

Have a good week and serve the Lord.
