She was born in Sweet Water, Tenn. Sept. 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Horace Philemon and the late Eleanor Hall Bird. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Price III with whom she farmed and took care of bookkeeping and financials of the farm.
Mrs. Price was a member of the Russellville Garden Club, Soybean Association and Cattlemen’s Association. She was very active with Farm Bureau, was a Regent for D.A.R. and a 50 year plus member of the Russellville United Methodist Temple.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6 at 10 a.m. in the United Methodist Temple with Reverend Dr. J. Earl Coker and Reverend John Weber officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, March 5 from 3-7 p.m. at the United Methodist Temple and Tuesday, March 6 from 9-10 a.m.
Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Philip Camp, John Camp, Horace McQueen, James Camp, Jeff McQueen, Bryan Neely and John Kittinger.
She is survived by her son, Edward C. Price IV and wife Nancy of Russellville; her daughters, Mary Price Kittinger and husband John of Lexington, Margaret Lammé Price of Russellville and Sarah Blakey Price of Owensboro; her sister-in-law, Sallie (Price) Neely and husband Ray of Russellville; her grandchildren, Edward C. Price V and Hannah Taylor Price; 11 nephews; six nieces, and numerous grand nephews and nieces.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the First United Methodist Temple music department or to the Kittinger Cottage at Camp Loucon.
