March is in the air, or better still, in the wind. That makes for a bad hair day. This is wonderful weather for February. I believe we used to plant potatoes the last of February.
Write me some new or something you want me to put in my column – Box 94, Lewisburg Ky, 42256. I sure would be glad to hear from you.
Hump Day
My grandson has got the croup. He didn’t go to school, he came to Doc Memaw. Hope he gets better soon.
I think the only thing that is happening on Tuesday, the garbage is picked up in Lewisburg.
March 4, Tim Harris and the Rager Brothers singing gospel at Quality Cafe 106-east, from 2-4. Plenty of time to get back to the evening service at church. Come down, you may be blessed.
We older folks have a lot more weather to talk about now days. It’s not small talk anymore.
Whatever happened to Carters Little Liver Pills?
It’s a nice day with the sun and wind, but you can’t work outside and get hot. You will get sick. When you sweat, don’t cool off too fast. I already saw a man working with his shirt off. It’s not that hot yet! He must have been proud of his fat belly. Ha!
Eagle Day, Pay Day, whatever you call it, a good day. You worked all week, a proud day. A man, a real man able to work, should work at something. Where is your pride? Stand up and be counted. There are some in Lewisburg who draw a check and work for cash. (Oh, woe is me.)
My son moved to the country. A pit bull got their cat. It would not turn it loose. They hit the dog with everything in arm’s reach and it killed the kids’ cat right in front of them. It bit my daughter-in-law and she had to go to the emergency room. She took a lot of shots and has to go back for more. She’s a very sick girl this morning. The shots are for rabies. Watch your children and pets around strange dogs. (Pray for her.)
You let me see a yard sale sign and I will make a U-turn every time. I am a sucker for an estate tag sale. I went to one in Lewisburg for Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Groves. I met their three children, Sandra, Glenda and Jeff Groves. They are real nice folk. Estate always means someone has passed from this life. When I buy something and take it home and use it myself, I think about it belonging to someone else, who used it and enjoy having it. But as long as I like it and take care of it, they would be proud.
The Groves are still missed in Lewisburg. May God bless the family.
You know what the judge said when battery cables walked into the courthouse? Don’t even try to start anything. LOL
This has felt like March today with the bone-chilling wind. It’s ear ache weather.
Sunday morning I got up early with my heart set on going to church to be with my church family and share the word of God. Faith comes by hearing the word, so you if you don’t go to church, and don’t read your Bible, how can you know and compare today with Matthew Chapter 24? Without faith, you cannot please God. You are on your own. But there is hope.
Have a blessed week.
