A recently released USDA report indicate cattle numbers in the United States are at their lowest numbers since 1952 which is helping support the high prices that the cattle industry is currently enjoying. However, what’s not reported is the corresponding elevated price for all inputs for beef cattle enterprises. So it is up to each individual producer to capture the greatest profit from their herd.

To provide an opportunity for either seasoned or new producers to obtain new production skills or polish existing production skills, The Cooperative Extension Service offices in Allen, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties are offering an “Area Beef Demonstration Day” for beef producers. The “Demo Day” will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at the Logan County Ag Arena starting with registration at 8:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day until 3 p.m. The program allows for scheduled events throughout the day so come for the whole day or attend the topics that interest you.
