But first Russellville had to contend with a sneaky good Franklin-Simpson team tonight their mission was to take care of business against the Wildcats and Lady 'Cats before they even thought about Logan County.

To kick off the night the Lady Panthers squared off against the Lady 'Cats. In the first quarter it looked like Franklin-Simpson had regained their dominant form and would run away with the game being up 16-6. But in the second quarter the Lady Panthers started to show some life as their press started to turn the 'Lady Cats over. The turnovers led to easy baskets as they started close the gap. Going into the break it was 22-16 Franklin, but the lead was far from safe.
In the third quarter the Lady Panthers continued chipping away at the lead. At the end of three the lead had dwindled down to 34-30. And to complete the comeback a big three pointer at the five minute mark gave the Lady Panthesr the lead they had fought hard for. Despite some shaky free throw shooting at the end the Lady panthers hung on for the win 41-38.
